Another “best seller” and “sell out” edition of his children series plates of the 1980s. Escalera adored his grandchildren. Once again, the subject of this piece was his first grandchild Regina, who he witnessed reaching for the doorbell of his home. As fate would have it, he was armed with his camera and able to capture the memory. Later, when looking for inspiration, he drew from this moment in time and created this piece for all posterity.
