Created during his tenure in the plate collector industry, “Daddy’s Rose” went on to become a best seller and, in fact, sold out its limited edition run of porcelain plates. Escalera used his first grandchild, Regina, as his model.

Escalera Fun Fact: He was able to capture the “pose” of her looking intently into the mouth of the rose, by telling her that there was a bee inside! A truly beloved piece within the Escalera Family.
